Metabolic Clamp Study in MMTV-PyMT Tg Mice

Description MMTV (Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus)-PyMT (Polyoma Middle T Antigen) tumor
expressing mice on FVB background. Athymic nu/nu mice have been injected in the
mammary fat pad with mouse mammary tumor cells that have been manipulated to
express only IRS-1 or IRS-2 or neither adaptor protein. This model is designed
to test the role of the IRS proteins in tumor metabolism. We would like to
assess the uptake of glucose by the mammary tumors in the mice.
