Description CTRP1 hormone, encoded by C1qTnf1 gene, is a secreted regulator of sugar and fat
metabolism. CTRP1-deficient mice are being used a mouse model to understand the
role of this hormone in controlling different aspects of glucose and lipid
metabolism in skeletal muscle and liver.
