Metabolic Clamp Study to Assess Insulin Sensitivity in Female PAPP-A KO Mice

Description In humans, PAPP-A levels are inversely correlated with risk of gestational
diabetes, and PAPP-A directly enhances adipose tissue growth in-vitro. PAPP-A
knockout mice are available, and are known to be fertile, albeit with reduced
litter sizes. We will determine whether the absence of PAPP-A results in the
presence of gestational diabetes in this mouse model.
