Experiment

Metabolic & Analytical Study in Liver-Rescue Ceacam1 KO Mice
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Najjar, Sonia
Description CC1 KO mice represent a model for insulin resistance due to the impairment of
insulin clearance. CC1 KO mice exhibit higher body mass, higher fat mass,
hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, obesity and typical features of NAFLD.
Rescuing CC1 exclusively in the liver prevents all these abnormalities. CC1
rescue mice are lighter than CC1 KO mice and are protected against insulin
resistance.
