Comprehensive Metabolic Study in HFD-fed MCK-Pike KO Mice
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Chan, Chi
Description The MPKO mice represent a new model for studying the obesity-induced metabolic
changes. The MPKO mice develop less diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance.

This study is approved for the Metabolism Core of UMass MMPC and will involve 16
HFD-fed mice (8 WT and 8 MCK-Pike KO mice) for body composition, metabolic cage
analysis, and hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp experiments. This study will be
led by Dr. Taekyoon Kim and Dr. Hee Joon Kang.
