Metabolic Cage Study in HFD-fed LRP130 FTg Mice (Batch 4-22-15)
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Cooper, Marcus
Description The purpose of the experiment is to investigate the role of energy metabolism in
adipose tissue biology. This study is approved for the Metabolism Core of UMass
MMPC and will involve 4 cohorts of mice (totaling 26 LRP130 FTg mice) for body
composition and metabolic cage study:
Cohort 1: 5/1/15 (n=4)
Cohort 2: 7/3/15 (n=6)
Cohort 3: 8/14/15 (n=10)
Cohort 4: 8/28/15 (n=6)

These mice exhibit increased UCP1 protein in IWAT. The mice are to be
transferred at least 3 days before the scheduled study date as indicated above.
This study will be led by Dr. Jong Hun Kim.
