Experiment

Circulating troponin levels in nude mice treated with didox and/or doxorubicin
part 2
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Faridi, Jesika
Description Examine troponin t levels as measure of cardiotoxicity. Elevated circulating
troponin levels are indicative of cardiac muscle damage caused by myocardial
infarction.

3 week old female nude mice maintained on S/L autoclavable diet with adlib
access. As indicated, mice were treated with Doxorubicin (IV weekly, 10 mg/kg),
Didox (IP daily, 425 mg/kg), or a combination of both for 9 weeks. Blood was
collected via cardiac puncture after being sacrificed through the use of carbon
dioxide, and spun down to collect serum for analysis.
