Experiment

Circulating FFA levels in Agrp KO mice treated with ethanol
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Xu, Allison
Description Mice of different genotypes (AgRP heterzygous or homozygous deletion of Agrp
gene) were treated with alcohol or isocaloric maltose dextrin via oral gavage.
Mice were sacrified after the treatment peirod. Samples provided are plasma from
these mice, with the goal to determine if NEFA levels are different among
different genotypes and treatments. Ethanol gavage solution (5 g ethanol per kg
of body weight) Prepare a 31.5% (vol/vol) ethanol solution (0.25 g ml - 1
ethanol) by mixing 6.6 ml of 95% ethanol with 13.4 ml of water.
Maltose gavage solution (9 g of maltose dextrin per kg of body weight) Prepare a
45% (wt/vol) maltose dextrin solution by dissolving 9 g of maltose dextrin in a
final volume of 20 ml of water.
