Experiment

Effect of alcohol consumption on serum LBP levels in control and liver-specific
sEH knockouts
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Mello, Aline
Description Mice(control floxed or liver-specific soluble expoxide hydrolase knockouts) were
fed 5 days of control Lieber DeCarli liquid diet for acclimatation, followed by
10 days of alcohol Lieber DeCarli liquid diet supplemented with 5% ethanol or
pair-fed control Lieber DeCarli liquid diet. On day 16 of treatment early
morning mice were oral gavaged 5g/kg of body weight of ethanol for the treatment
group or isocaloric solution of maltose-dextrin for pair-fed group. Mice were
sacrificed 9 hs later, blood was collected and serum was obtained by
centrifugation.
