Experiment

2022-01-11 Myers - Andrew 9 Mice Elevated Plus Maze
Summary Data Summary
Investigator CHENG, WENWEN
Description Understanding central regulation of Obesity. Mice were handled individually by
the designated staff for one minute daily for one week prior to testing. Mice
were tested over the course of two days (1/10/21, 1/11/21). Mice were given an
hour to acclimate to the room before injection and a half-hour after injection
before testing began. On 1/10/21 mice were given 100uL saline via IP injection.
1/11/21 mice were given 1mg/kg CNO via IP injection. The injection schedules of
saline and CNO were per customer instruction. Mice were actually separated into
three groups but were split into the Saline and CNO groups to keep the
experiment blinded.

Experimental Factor: Drug Administered

 Clozapine N-oxide
Inactive from of clozapine drug, activates G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). CNO serves as a synthetic ligand for engineered human muscarinic receptor. It elicits clozapine-like effects upon metabolic conversion. Clozapine conversion to CNO favors its
