Experiment

2018-09-07 Olson - Latrice 29 Mice 3 Day CLAMS Run
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Olson, David
Description The PVH is a heterogeneous nucleus composed of multiple cell types expressing a
variety of neuropeptides. We recently showed that PVH neurons expressing nitric
oxide synthase-1 (NOS1) represent a subset of PVH neurons and that their
activation suppresses food intake and increases energy expenditure. Thus we
hypothesize that PVHNOS1 neurons represent a complimentary, non-melanocortin
target for anti-obesity therapies.
