Description We have generated a mouse model which lacks the androgen receptor (AR) in leptin
receptor Cre cells (LepRb-Cre). This model will allow us to examine the
contribution of androgens to a population of metabolically relevant cells. We
will characterize the reproductive and metabolic phenotypes of LepR-ARKO mice in
both basal and states of androgen excess, which will mimic polycystic ovary
syndrome (PCOS) in females.
