Description	Energy expenditure measured by indirect calorimetry in the Promethion by Sable Systems. Activity, food intake and water intake are also continuously measured. Measurements were taken for 8 consecutive days. Running wheels were not present in the cage. Mice were fed ad libitum. Water: regular tap water, ad libitum. Groups: Male WT(C57BL6-Rictortm1.1Gal/+ [C57BL6-Rictorlox/+]), lox/lox (C57BL6-Rictortm1.1Gal [C57BL6-Rictorlox/lox]), and KO (C57BL6-Rictortm1.1Gal Tg(Th-CRE) [C57BL6-Rictorlox/lox Tg(Th-CRE)]) mice. Mice were fed a Low Fat diet (Research Diets - D12450B) or a High Fat Diet (Research Diets - D12492). Male WT LF: n=1, Male lox/lox: n=2, Male KO LF: n=4, Male WT HF: n=1, Male lox/lox: n=3, Male KO HF: n=3, Purpose of the experiment: This experiment will determine whether the groups of mice have different energy expenditure and feeding behaviors.
