Description To test the effect of macrophage- specific Acat1 Ko on apoe KO mouse for
atherosclerosis. To test the hypothesis that Acat1 in macrophage as a
therapeutic target for treating atherosclerosis.

Acat1 in macrophage decreases atherosclerostic lesions, decreases steady state
glucose level, reduces leptin level in the blood, and increases insulin
sensitivity.
