Experiment

Circulating hormone and metabolite levels of wild mice caught in Florida and New
York
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Sheehan, Michael
Description The samples are from the F2 lab-reared descendents of wild caught mice from
vicinity of Saratoga Springs, NY and Gainsville, FL. The mice were provided ad
libitum access to food and water throughout their whole lives. At weaning, they
were singly housed and not mated. Prior to sampling, mice had been involved in
non-invasive phenotypic assays measuring their nest building and activity
levels. Prior to sampling of blood mice were fasted for five hours. Samples were
collected via cardiac puncture immediately after cervical dislocation. Samples
were stored at -80C.

the mice that provided the SERUM samples for this project are the F2 generation
of Wild caught mice collected in Florida and new York. this project was
performed in an effort to assay for the variability in phenotype in non-inbred
mice as related to Body Mass Index.
