Strain
B6.Cg-Pkd1tm2Som Tg(UBC-cre/ERT2)1Ejb

Summary Data Summary
Official Name B6.Cg-Pkd1tm2Som Tg(UBC-cre/ERT2)1Ejb
Common Name Pkd1flox/flox:Ubc-Cre
Description Pkd1: An frt-flanked neo cassette with a 5' loxP site was
inserted downstream of exon 4 and an additional loxP was
inserted upstream of exon 2. Germ line, flp-mediated
recombination was used to remove the neo cassette and leave
exons 2 to 4 floxed.

UBC-cre: This Cre-ERT2 transgenic mouse line was generated
via lentitransgenesis; a self-inactivating lentiviral vector
was designed with the human ubiquitin C (UBC) promoter
sequence upstream of a Cre-ERT2 fusion gene (Cre recombinase
fused to a G400V/M543A/L544A triple mutation of the human
estrogen receptor ligand binding domain).
Cre-ERT2-expressing lentivirus were microinjected into the
perivitelline space of one-cell zygotes (129SvEv;C57BL/6
mixed genetic background). Mice display tamoxifen-inducible
Cre activity in all tissue types.
