Experiment

Sable Energy Balance #21750 4/13/15
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Wasserman, David
Description Energy expenditure measured by indirect calorimetry in the Promethion by Sable
Systems. Activity, food intake and water intake are also continuously measured.
Measurements were taken for 5 consecutive days.
Running wheels were not present in the cage.
Mice were fed ad libitum.
Water: regular tap water, ad libitum.

Groups:
Male WT (C57BL/6J) mice. Mice were either AAV-Controls (Empty Adeno Associate
Virus control.) or AAV-B186 (Adeno Associated Virus B186 over expresses Vegfb).
Mice were fed a chow diet (LabDiet 5001).
Male AAV-Control Chow: n=8
Male AAV-B186 Chow: n=8

Purpose of the experiment: This experiment will determine whether the groups of
mice have different energy expenditure and feeding behaviors.

Applicable Research Areas: Metabolism , Body weight regulation, energy
expenditure, feeding behavior.
