Gut microbiota analysis: Effect of OGG1 knockout in Chow and HFD-fed mice
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Sampath, Harini
Description Male WT and Ogg1 -/- (OKO) (C57BL/6 background) mice were fed a standard chow
diet (Picolab Laboratory Rodent Diet (5L0D), Purina Mills) or high fat diet
(Research Diets 12492) for ~16 weeks. Starting at 12-14 weeks of age, animals
were individually housed for the diet studies. Fresh fecal samples were
collected after 5 weeks of feeding in individually housed setting (19-20 weeks
total) and sent for 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing analysis. Chow animals
previously characterized were reanalyzed with the HFD animals.
