Comprehensive Analysis on the Metabolic Effects of Brown Adipose-Specific
Deletion of Fatty Acid Synthase

Description This study will involve 4 UCP1-FASN KO mice and 4 WT mice. The Metabolism Core
studies will involve the following:

Energy balance measurement using TSE Metabolic Cages, Blood sampling for
Analytical Core studies, and In vivo lipid uptake measurement in brown adipose
tissue.

The Analytical Core studies will involve multiplexed-analysis using Cobas
Clinical Chemistry Analyzer for serum levels of TG, NEFA, and Cholesterol
(total, HDL, LDL).
