Circulating lipid, glucose, insulin and HbA1c levels in AC5 KO mice treated with
streptozotocin

Description Experiment details (This is essential information to be provided by
investigator). Mice were euthanize by sodium pentobarbita (IP injection) and
blood samples collected at endpoint by punturing the heart. Whole blood samples
were collected in EDTA tubes. For serum samples were allowed to clot (15 mins,
room T) spined down, and the supernatant transfered toa clean tube. Samples were
stores at -20 ?. A citrate buffer (100 mM, pH 4-5) was prepared, this buffer was
used as vehicle for strptozotocin injections. WT and AC5 KO mice were injected
50mg/kg STZ. As a control WT and AC5 KO mice were injeted with citrate (100 mM).
Mice were injected once a day for 5 consequtive days. We waited 2 weeks after
the last injection to start experiments. Wt and AC5 KO Mice had adlibitum acces
to food and water.
