Liver lipid levels in Myc KO mice fed high fat and high cholesterol diet

Description Endothelial Dysfunction. To investigate the role of endothelial c-Myc in tissue
homeostasis and identify potential therapeutic targets for cardiovascular
disease

For the FVB/N-Tg(tetO-MYC)36aBop/J animals, doxycycline was withdrawn at 4 weeks
and the experimental diet started at 8 weeks of age. For the
B6.129S6-Myctm2Fwa/Mmjax strain, at 4 weeks of age, the animals were injected
intraperitoneally with tamoxifen for 5 consecutive days. The experimental diet
started at 7 weeks. All the animals were put on the experimental diet for 5
weeks. Then the animals were fasted for 6 hours and anesthetized
intraperitoneally with a ketamine-xylazine solution. Blood was collected by
cardiac puncture in EDTA-coated tubes. Liver was harvested, snap frozen with
liquid N2 and then stored at -80 degree.
