fat diet

Description 40 mice, 8 wk old C57BL/6J (from Jax west room RB07) were fed either an AIN93G
low fat diet (LF, 10%kcal fat/20%kcal protein/70%kcal CHO with 7% kcal sucrose),
a high fat control diet (HF, 45%kcal fat/20%kcal protein/35%kcal CHO with 17%
kcal sucrose) or a high fat diet with 10% (by mass) undigestable milk
oligosaccharide Lacto-N-tetraose, LNT, (HF+LNT, 45%kcal fat/20%kcal
protein/35%kcal CHO with 17% kcal sucrose + 10% LNT) for 8 weeks. Animals were
divided into 2 cohorts of 20 animals for open field testing

For this, mice are adapted to testing room for 60 min, were placed in the center
of a white plastic box (40 x 40x 40 cm) and were tracked with an overhead camera
for 15 min. Distance traveled and time spent in the perimeter (outside 10 cm) vs
center (inside 30 cm) was determined.
