2020-11-08 Myers - Abigail 5 Days CLAMS Run w/ CNO Injections
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Tomlinson, Abigail
Description Diabetes/energy expenditure/obesity. Mice were measured for body composition
before being put into CLAMS metabolic chambers on 11/8/20 at 3pm. On 11/9 and
11/10, all mice were injected with saline at 6am and 5pm. On 11/11 and 11/12,
all mice were injected with clozapine-N-oxide at 6am and 5pm. On 11/13, all mice
received a saline injection at 6am before being taken out of the metabolic
chambers on the same day at 3:30pm and receiving the second body composition.

 Clozapine N-oxide
Inactive from of clozapine drug, activates G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). CNO serves as a synthetic ligand for engineered human muscarinic receptor. It elicits clozapine-like effects upon metabolic conversion. Clozapine conversion to CNO favors its
