Experiment

2020-02-17 Wu - Heejin 14 Mice 2 Days CLAMS Run
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Wu, Jun
Description Obesity is a major risk factor of metabolic diseases and develops when energy
intake chronically exceeds total energy expenditure. Adult humans have beige
adipocytes, and the activation of these cells dissipates energy and improves
metabolic health. We discovered Chrna2 signaling in activated beige fat and that
loss of this novel signaling accelerated diet-induced obesity and diabetes.
