Experiment

Muscle TG levels in Shc KO mice
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Ramsey, Jon
Description Mice were fed the Teklad-7012 diet starting at 4 weeks of age. The mice had ad
libitum access to food and water until the last week of the study (11 weeks of
age). At that time food was removed overnight (16 hour fast) and free choice
access to food was available for 8 hours during the day. The WT and KO mice were
divided into two groups with one group being sacrificed following the 16 hour
fast and the other group being sacrifed 3 hours after feeding. All mice were
sacrificed by cervical dislocation and the entire hindlimb skeletal muscle was
quickly removed, placed in liquid nitrogen, and powdered under and stored in
liquid nitrogen.
