Experiment

Circulating lipid levels in Ldlr KO mice fed high fat diet
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Altman, Robin
Description Mice (5 weeks of age) are fed either a chow diet or high-fat diet (Harlan cat.
no. TD.88137) for 8 weeks. They have ad lib access to food and water. Animals
are fasted roughly 12-18 hours prior to euthanization by cardiac puncture and
exsanguination. Blood is drawn by cardiac puncture and collected in serum
separator tubes. Samples are spun and serum fraction is immediately drawn off
and frozen at -80C until use.
