Strain
C57BL/6-Pdk2tm1Rhar Pdk4tm1Rhar

Summary Data Summary
Official Name C57BL/6-Pdk2tm1Rhar Pdk4tm1Rhar
Common Name C57BL/6J-Pdk2-/- Pdk4-/-
Description Double knockout on the B6 background genes knocked out are
the pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isoenzyme 2 (Pdk2) and
pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isoenzyme 4 (Pdk4). For the
Pdk4 gene, exon 1 and part of exon 2 were replaced with a
PGK-neomycin resistance cassette. Western blot analysis
confirmed the absence of translation product. For the Pdk2
gene, exon 1 and part of exon 2 were deleted by insertion of
a neomycin resistance cassette. Western blot analysis
confirmed the absence of translation product.
