Common Name NCoR omega
Description NCoR-omega and NCoR-delta share a splice acceptor but
utilize two distinct splice donors. Splice-specific NCoR
knockout mice were generated by the Mouse Biology Program at
the University of California at Davis (UC Davis). The
NCoR-omega splice donor was inactivated by site-directed
mutagenesis in mice without disrupting the NCoR-delta splice
donor or the NCoR-delta protein sequence to generate
NCoR-omega -/- mice.

The targeting construct encompassing exons 34 to 41
introduced a GT to CC mutation that ablates the 5' donor
site required for splicing of the omega isoform.
Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neomycin
resistance cassette within intron 37. The delta isoform is
not affected.
