Sable Energy Balance 8/25/14 #13097
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Chen, Weiqin
Description Energy expenditure measured by indirect calorimetry in the Promethion by Sable
Systems. Activity, food intake and water intake are also continuously measured.
Measurements were taken for 5 consecutive days.
Running wheels were not present in the cage.
Mice were fed ad libitum.
Water: regular tap water, ad libitum.
All mice were treated with Norepinephrine on the fifth day of the Sable run.

Groups:
Male WT (C57BL/6J)and KO (C57BL/6J-Bscl2tm1Chen Tg(Adipoq-cre/ERT2)1Soff) mice.
Mice were fed a chow diet (LabDiets 5001).
Male WT Chow: n=6,
Male KO Chow: n=7,

Purpose of the experiment: This experiment will determine whether the groups of
mice have different energy expenditure and feeding behaviors.

Applicable Research Areas: Metabolism , Body weight regulation, energy
expenditure, feeding behavior.
