Experiment

Circulating albumin, ALT, and AST levels in B6 mice treated with niclosamide and
CCL4
Summary Data Summary
Investigator Shengkan, Jin
Description C57BL/6J mice received ip injection of CCL4 for 6 weeks to induce liver
fibrosis. While CCL4 induction, mice were fed normal chow diets or chow diet
containing 2000ppm NEN or MB1-47 for 6 or 4 weeks. Blood was collected through
Retro-orbital Bleeding at the end of the treatment. Plasma was obtained by
centrifugation at 1000g for 10-15min at 4? , and stored at -80? for further
analysis.

Niclosamdie and MB1-47 are from a group of mitochondrial uncouplers that can
stimulates oxygen consumption.

Hypothesis: oral administration of mitochondrial uncouplers could amerliorate
CCL4-induced fibrosis. The objective of the study is to investigate the effect
of mitochondrial uncouplers on liver fibrosis.
