Circulating ALT, and AST levels in B6 mice treated with derivatives of
niclosamide and CCL4

Description C57BL6/J mice with peritoneal injection of olive oil with Research Diets AIN-93M
received daily oral dose vehicle for 6 weeks. C57BL6/J mice with peritoneal
injection of CCl4 with Research Diets AIN-93M received daily oral dose of
vehicle or 5.0 mg/kg body weight of WX-53 or 7.5 mg/kg body weight of Y03 for 6
weeks. 5 hour-fasted blood was collected through tail vein bleeding at the end
of the treatment. Plasma was obtained by centrifugation at 1000g for 10-15min at
4? . Whole blood and plasma stored at -80? for further analysis. WX53 and Y03
are from a group of mitochondrial uncouplers that can stimulates oxygen
consumption. Hypothesis: oral administration of mitochondrial uncouplers could
repair the hepatic fibrosis of Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The
objective of the study is to investigate the effect of mitochondrial uncouplers
on the treatment of NASH.
